MICKEY'S HOUSE!!

When the alarm went off on Monday morning, even I bolted out of bed with excitement....it was MICKEY'S HOUSE DAY!!!  The months and months of Little M asking when we were going to see the castle were finally over....THE day was here!

We quick got up, ate some breakfast, and dressed the girls in their matching Mickey Mouse outfits before heading out for the day!

It did take us a little longer than we thought to get to the Magic Kingdom.  And add in the lines for will call, the ferry, tickets presentation, and security, it was about 10:45 before we even walked out onto main street.  But as soon as we rounded the corner and saw "Mickey's Castle", it was all worth it.

A smile appeared on Little M's face that did not leave for the rest of the day.  We got some drinks {mom fail...I only brought stuff for Baby C, no drinks or snacks for the rest of us!} and took pictures in front of the castle before heading off to check out some more stuff.

My kid is the coolest person I know

The first place we headed was the carousel, as that is Little M's favorite these days.  Months ago she said was of the horses on it was named Cindy and she couldn't wait to ride her.  So we hopped right on that line to fulfil her wish.

I took her on the first time we rode, and Skip took her when we went on later.  Her joy was just so endless!

Now, most of you are going to be ridiculously disappointed in us, but the carousel was the only ride we went on in Magic Kingdom {hangs head in shame}  Let me explain though.  Neither Skip, nor I are really rides people.  And when travelling with an infant and a three year old, your ride choices are pretty limited.  We also didn't know how long the girls would stand the park before wiggin' out, so we didn't want to commit to just standing in line all day.  But what we did end up doing I think was way more fun for Little M.

We filled the next few hours with lunch {at the Pinocchio place just outside the carousel} some parades, and lots and lots of princesses.

We stumbled up on the music parade just outside the castle, where Little M got to dance and sing with Woody, Jesse, Goofy, and the rest of the gang.

We also made sure to line up to watch the 3:00 pm go down Main Street.  It was great because it wasn't too long, and Little M got to see all the princesses and the rest of the characters as well.

The rest of the time was spent tracking down princesses {and sometimes waiting 1 1/2 hours to see them...ahem Rapunzel}  But the look on Little M's face each time she got to talk to them was just priceless.  She really thought they were the characters from the movie and kept asking them plotline questions.  Cutest.thing.ever.

Now, are we forgetting someone? Oh right...it's not a trip to Mickey's House without meeting the man himself!  We headed over to see Mickey as we were getting ready to leave the park.  Baby C asleep in the moby wrap, so just Skip and Little M went in to see Mickey and Minnie.  It was the perfect ending to our day!

We might have only stayed at the park till 4:30...and we only went on one ride while we were there...but honestly?  It was one of the best days ever as a family and I am so glad we went!

Cocoa Beach

If you've been around this blog for a while now, you know I am a total beach girl.  I could spend hours and days just laying out on the sand or splashing around in the water.  I spent every summer as a kid down at the Jersey Shore, and try to go as much as possible as an adult too.
And I am happy to announce that I DID rock a bikini!

So when B suggested we have a beach day on Sunday, I was psyched!  Sure the beach is different now that I have kids, but it can still be just as much fun.  So we packed up all our stuff and headed to Cocoa Beach.

Remember those days when you were in college and a day at the beach meant grabbing your bikini, a diet coke, and a blanket and you were set for the day?  Well when you have three adults and two children, things change a bit.  Skip, B, and I kept joking about how the years have changed and how old looking we have all become as we lugged all the kid stuff to the beach {while I was wearing Baby C in the moby...height of coolness}.  I would obviously have it no other way, it was just funny to be baby-wearing and setting up a kids play tent while drunk college kids played beer pong around us.  {and omg you can drink on the beach in Florida?!?!  Can you imagine how much worse Seaside would be if you could drink there??}

But once we got the tent, blankets, and chairs set up...snacks given out...lotion put on...we were ready to have some fun!  And we definitely did.  The weather was just perfect and the balance of three adults and two kids worked out perfectly.  Someone could be with each of the girls at all time, while someone was just relaxing.  And we made sure to rotate enough so it was enjoyable for all!

I'm not sure poor Baby C had as much fun as everyone else.  Even with a cover-up and 70+spf, I was still worried about her sensitive skin in the Florida sun, so she was confined to the tent most of the time.  I thought she might nap in there since it was during her afternoon naptime, but Baby C pretty much just scoffed at that idea.  As long as we kept feeding her puffs and someone was in the tent with her, she was pretty happy!

Little M on the other hand had the BEST time out of all of us.  My little girl is a straight up fish...just like her momma!  Girl wanted to be in the ocean all.the.time.  She just loved jumping and splashing in every little wave that came her way.  We didn't let her go out to far and we put her in a lifevest since there were no lifeguards on the beach {seriously!?!?  Jersey may have Snooki but we at LEAST have lifeguards!} I think Little M had the best time out of all of us though!
Nearly impossible to take pictures when she's on the go the whole day!
Considering the heat and huge crowds, the girls did really well just hanging out on the beach with us.  But as dinner time got closer and closer we knew it was time to pack it all in.  When BOTH of them passed out in the car on the way home, I knew it had been a successful day out!

Relaxation at it's finest

Saturday was our first full day in Orlando.  We were very lucky that a friend of mine {one of my old military boys!} lives down there and was more than happy to have us stay at his house.  Not only was it nice to not have to spend the money on a hotel for the week we were there, it was so nice to get to spend some time with him and his son.  We obviously don't get to see him that much and the time spent together was much needed and part of the reason I miss it so much!

We just wanted to relax and chill our first day there.  We grilled, ate pizza, hung out in the hot tub, relaxed with B and some of his friends, and sunbathed all day!  The weather was beyond exquisite, with plenty of sunshine, big puffy clouds, and 85* temperatures.  Long after the girls went down for the night we relaxed outside on the patio talking and reminiscing.  Absolute perfection and a great way to kick off the trip!

I pretty much want to live in this hot tub

Even Little M loved it...Skip, we NEED one!

Since it was St. Patrick's Day the girls and I made sure to celebrate a little bit!

Dowtown Disney

Last Friday was our first day in Orlando.  We didn't get into town till around 2, so we didn't want to do anything crazy.  But since Little M has been asking about Mickey's House for *months* now, we figured a quick trip to Downtown Disney was our best bet!

It was super hot {which I loooooved} but isn't so good for the wee babies.  We lasted about 3 hours though and Little M was just in awe of everything.  We did miss a lot of stuff, but she was able to come home with a Tinkerbell present so she was more than happy!

The last time I was posing in front of this dragon I was 20 weeks pregnant with Little M!
