At work recently, Skip got into a conversation with some of his buddies about healthy eating and fitness. One of the guys mentioned something to him about how I am this health nut and our house must be filled with organic everything and only healthy items. My lovely husband pretty much laughed in his face. Yes I’m tiny, and yes I work out like a maniac, but when it comes to healthy eating I get a big fat FAIL.
It’s not that I don’t want to eat healthy, I do. But most vegetables are gross; I can’t stomach those green monster smoothies; and candy just tastes so much better! It’s not that I only eat candy and sweets, I make sure to eat plenty of salads, grilled chicken, and humus too. But let’s just say that a few years ago we picked up some wholesale candy for Halloween and I managed to eat the whole 5lb bag, by myself, in like two weeks. Whoops!
This is my theory. Life is short. Bad stuff happens to people all the time. So enjoy the time you have and eat what you love…even if it is half a bag of Twizzlers for breakfast. And how do I stay thin while eating like a five-year-old’s dream? Make that brownie your whole lunch, not just dessert, and work out like crazy after!
