Searching for Old Friends

With the beginning of September upon us, it always reminds me of a new school year..starting high school..going off to college.  And as every year brought new teachers, fresh supplies, some additional knowledge, and new friends to be met.  Each year as the calender flips to September, I think of all the friends I've met along the way in my school years, both other students and co-workers when I became a teacher myself.

Some friends I still see and talk to on a regular basis, and then there are some friends I have lost touch with over the years.  It's weird, some of these people meant so much to me at the time and yet I have no idea what they've gone on to do with their lives.  Have they gotten married, had kids, are they working where they always dreamed?
