I brought him home from the vet just after 4. He just laid around while I talked to my parents. He slept right by my feet as I made the girls dinner. I cooked him a special dinner of chicken and rice, and let him eat the rest of Charlie's mac and cheese {cause if you're dog might be dying, who cares what he eats} Emmy gave him a treat before bed and so did I {he couldn't eat anything after 7:00 pm} He gobbled all that food right down, but then promptly threw it all up outside:(
Skip and I spent the rest of the evening just being with our boy....snuggling him, and giving him lots of love. We sat outside when he had to go out, and took a whole bunch of pictures. I told Skip I was just going to sit with Braddock on the couch all night, but Skip suggested we let him sleep in our bed instead. Braddock was so confused and hesitant when we tried to bring him up because he's never allowed upstairs. He settled quickly and really seemed to like sleeping up there. I slept much better knowing he was with us.
We got up early the next morning as Braddock had to be at the vet at 8:30. He was annoyed at us since he was used to sleeping much later. I'd normally have to drag him out of bed at 11:00! I took two more last pictures, let him out one more time, hug and kissed him, told him I loved him, and Skip took him off to the vet. It was such a nice night with him, I just wish it hadn't been the last:(

I am welling up! I am so so sorry for the loss of your sweet little boy. Dogs are family members and the void created when they are gone is huge.
I finished reading this with my bottom lip sticking out like his. I'm glad you got these pics but the whole thing just sucks. Still praying for you.
