Embarrassing Moment

Thirty Things #10 My most embarrassing moment. {yes, I'm skipping #9...The topic is the 10 people who have influenced you're life...I'm not gonna lie, I just don't feel like doing that one}

So my most embarrassing moments.  I've had a LOT over my lifetime.  I'm not sure if things happen to me more easily, or I'm just easily embarrassed.  But I have definitely had my fair share of red-faced moments.

I've been known to trip in front of a crowd, give the wrong answers while teaching, or under-cook a pie for a Christmas party, and not notice until everyone tried cutting into the gooey mess.

I once had to ask five guys to my senior prom before one said yes springs to mind {I went to an all-girls school so we had to do the asking} But at least that embarrassment was spread out over a few weeks.

If I had to pick, one of my most embarrassing moments has to do with a boy{not Skip...I had a few boyfriends before I met him...sorry babe}.  We had been dating, but then he went and got himself a girlfriend {awesome} that obviously wasn't me.  You'd think that would be embarrassing enough.  But no.  I don't take rejection well and so I felt like if I could just plead my case he'd take me back {the book He's Just Not that Into You should have been in my stocking that year} So one night I told him everything.  Exactly how I felt and where I saw our future going.  I said I would wait for him {you know, since he had a girlfriend...big sign he doesn't like me!} It was epic.  I should have just lifted a boom box over my head and really completed the whole scene.

And you know what his response was?  NOTHING.  Seriously...didn't say a word.  He gave me a hug and then went back inside....dragging all my pride and self-worth with him.

At least no one else was there to witness it!

{And now you know why I thank God every morning I'm with Skip....I really lucked out with him!!:)}

So please tell me I'm not alone...share your most embarrassing moments with me!
