Last night I was putting on some make-up before heading out for a girls night and Little M came into my room.
Little M: Mommy, can I have your make-up?
Me: No Little M, it's just for Mommy.
Little M: Why?
Me: Because you are already sooo beautiful you don't need any make-up.
Little Me: Let me look {she gets up and looks in the mirror} Oh yes, I am beautiful!
I hope she never loses this confidence!

Good for you. I've seen moms do full faces of makeup on kids that are Little M's age. Makes me sad.
I hope she doesn't either, I wish the same for my beautiful girls!
So I hate when E and I are in this situation. Because I don't want top tell her she doesn't need it because she's already so pretty, because then it implies that I think I do need it and then that shows that I think negatively on myself. But I do want her to know that she doesn't need it ya know? So now I tell her it's a grown up thing and that in due time I'll let her try it.
Of course I tend to overthink things and my kid usually loses interest before I even answer her!!
All that to say, Little M is definitely naturally adorable! and I'm sure she will stay that way!!
I remember asking the same thing to my mom when I was little. Little M is so beautiful!
Fascinating. How can each one of us preserve her natural beauty?
