On Friday, her actual birthday, we kept it pretty lo-key. It was a day just for our little family of four. Charlie actually woke up just before midnight the night before, while Skip and I were getting some decorations ready. So she got a little sneak peak of her balloons and even got to open up a present early at midnight!
The next morning, we did presents first. As any typical one year old she was not that into it. Thankfully Emmy was there to help!
After presents we picked up some lunch for the girls and some cupcakes from the *best* local bakery. My girl DEVOURED it!
The rest of the day was spent relaxing and playing {and taking her one year pictures which I'll post about later in the week!}
I can't believe my sweet girl is one....but this is SUCH a fun age and I am definitely cherishing it!

It looks like Charlie had a wonderful first birthday! I love that you made her actual birth day special and not just the day of her party. We try to do that with Ci too. :)
