Baby C Update

I better get this Baby C update in while she's still a baby!  If you're a mom, then you know just how fast your child's first year of life flies by.  But let me tell you, that second kid?  100000 times faster!  Seriously, I blinked and now we are a little over a week before she turns 1.  So many things have been happening recently too, so I have lots to catch up on!

The first is, on Sunday June 3rd, Baby C took her very first steps!!!!!  She has been cruising and walking while holding on to our hands for a while, but these were her first unassisted steps.  She's not full on walking yet, but it's coming.  I officially have a toddler:( Also, I should have a video of it like I did for Little M, but I don't...poor second child.

Baby C is *finally* getting some teeth!  Poor thing has been eating table food for months now, but we had to be careful with what we gave her since she's all gums!  But the front two bottom teeth are starting to poke their way through now.  I will miss her gummy smile though.

Baby C is a total daddy's girl.  She loves me and all, but she just lights up whenever he is around.  She prefers him to hold her when we are both around as well.

Little M is probably her other favorite person.  The two are them are just going to be the best of friends when they're older, I just know it.  Baby C laughs at pretty much everything Little M says.  She just wants to be around her big sister all the time.

She still wakes up once a night, little bugger.  It's really not bad though, since it's normally between 11:00 pm and midnight.  Skip and I are still up then, so we give her a bottle and get her back down pretty easily before we head to bed ourselves.

She does go to bed early though.  After 6:30/6:45 she just starts screaming.  I'm sure her bedtime will start to get pushed back though as she gets older.

She sleeps till 7:00/8:00 am so it's really not bad at all.  She also naps twice a day still.  10:00-12:00 and 2:00-4:00.  I will miss these when she switches to one nap.

Baby C's hair is finally long enough to put into a tiny Cindy LuHoo type ponytail on top of her head.  I just *love* it!

Baby C's favorite lovie these days is a stuffed Minnie doll that she takes EVERYWHERE!  She just grabs Minnie's ear and brings her along with whatever adventure she is going on!

She has been loving the jogging stroller recently, and I love the workout I can get with her!  I obviously can't take her out when I'm alone with the girls, but when Skip is home we'll go to the park as a family...I'll run with C and he'll take Little M to the playground.  Good times for all.

Baby C drinks water and sometimes juice out of a sippy cup at mealtimes.  She still takes formula out of bottles though.  We have one can left of formula we're working on and then will be switching to whole milk.  That is one milestone I am not sad to see come....I will NOT miss buying formula anymore!  I also hope to switch her to just sippy cups soon...cleaning those Dr. Brown bottles is not something I will miss either!

Overall Baby C is just the happiest little thing I ever saw.  She has brought such joy into our lives and am so blessed to have her part of our family!
